Daddy's Day Off

Ben surprised Asher and I by taking the day off yesterday since he has to work all day Saturday. For what seemed to be like the 14th day in a row, it was crappy and rainy outside. I was so thankful for Ben to be around as Asher and I were starting to feel a bit cooped up, depressed, unmotivated- you know, all of the things the lack of sun and vitamin D can do to ya. We decided to take a mini road trip to Jeffery's in Findlay. Ben and I were so blessed as LG (little guy) quietly sat in his stroller and took in the sights as we made our way around Ohio's largest antique store. No need to buy anything; just fun to see the well-loved, unique pieces of furniture, dishes, war paraphernalia, etc. Asher took his last nap of the day in the car on the way home and since we didn't have the heart to wake him once we got back, Ben just stayed in the car and napped (or tried to) until he woke up. It really was a great day of getting out and then just hanging out reading books, playing drums on the couch, dancing around and being silly, whatever stuck LG's fancy and made him smile. Made me kinda like rainy days...
